I know you've all been waiting to hear how my first foray back into running post-IT band revelation went.
It went.
I didn't want to tax myself, or screw myself for the Turkey Trot, so I committed to running no more than 3.1 miles. Slowly. And to save you the drama, it went pretty well. My right knee/leg was pretty stiff, but I managed to make it through. I made sure to walk for a bit once I hit 3.25 miles.
Later on in the day, my knee felt crappy again, but only for a little bit. I'm going to try and run on the 'mill tonight for a little bit, because clearly I love torturing myself. This of course will be followed by the roller of foam, which made me cry this past weekend.
In related news, I'm still looking for a USB cord. One of these days, you will get a post so picture-laden, it'll make your eyes bug-out. Word to your mothers.
Also, I watched a few scary vampire movies this weekend (this is for copia verborum's benefit) to counteract the amount of negative, sparkly vampire energy in the air these days. Suffice it to say, I didn't sleep much this weekend. Thank you 30 Days of Night and Let the Right One In.

Your inflamed IT band and my inflamed IT band should go to a heavy metal show and beat the crap out of each other. Then, I hope they both choke in a puddle of their own vomit and we never hear from them again.
Graphic? Yes. But this is what goes through my head when I roll out my band.
I LOVE "LET THE RIGHT ONE IN!" YAY!
