One Month

Exactly one month from today, I will hopefully have finished my third marathon, The Marine Corps Marathon. I say "hopefully" because a lot can happen in a month and I'd go so far as to say that even more can happen on race day. The point is, I'm not taking any of this for granted. For instance, my easy 40 minute run this morning didn't go particularly well.

My legs felt heavy.

I felt so tired.

Garmin was off.

Still, I finished my run and kept it slow. I'm looking forward to tomorrow's 12 miler. I figure I'll run out to the Prairie, slowly as a warm-up, and then run two loops of the path. If I'm feeling like it, I can run home as a cool-down, or I can just walk.

That's just normal nerves setting in...you will totally finish, and with the AWESOME training season you have, you will have a great marathon at that. You're entitled to have a bad run every now and then. It happens to everyone, no worries. Have a great run today!
