The GRE is over...for now. Pending my score on the writing section, I may retake that bastard exam.
I did get a short run in on Saturday before the GRE, which was definitely a good idea. The run was kinda lame, and pretty short, but at least I got my feet moving again after a week of no running and one day of cross-training. It was a tough run, though. I was barely able to maintain a 10:00 pace. Not a good thing, because now my brain equates taking a week off running with the inability to run anymore. It's a good thing marathon training starts this week.
In an effort to not injure myself, I'm going to go with the one workout per-day approach until late June/early July, where I'll implement my two-a-days again. It's a great way to get the mileage in, but I don't want to jump into them too fast before I've built up a good base.
I'm also keeping my fingers crossed that a few races I want to do don't sell out before I have money to enter them. I cannot put anything on my credit card until next week sometime, so I can't sign up for the new half-marathon on June 7th yet, or the Rock n' Roll half (formerly the Chicago Distance Classic). The latter appears to be filling up really fast, as I've received more than a few emails stating I should move it and sign up now. I do have an alternate race to sign up for, should the RnR sell out...the Madison Mini! True, Madison is a few weeks after RnR, but I am applying for grad school there and a bunch of the Lakefront Angels are going to go.
I promise I will catch up on reading all of your blogs soon! I was curled up in the fetal position most of the week when I wasn't at work, mumbling "quantitative comparisons..." over and over again.

I hate tests :( ekkk. hope your scores are good ones!
Two-a-days. You were doing two-a-days? I SO need to start doing two-a-days. Maybe over the summer when I actually have time to do that! I'm jealous.

Congrats on getting the GRE done and here's to not having to retake the bastard!
I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you too ;-)
Hope you get through with flying colors. I remember the GRE...it was nerve-wracking!
Good luck with the marathon training. What plan are you following?
You could always run RnR renegade. (GASP, did I say that?!) Yeah, studying pretty much sucks. I had a professional exam late last fall and it seemed to take over my life during that last week leading up to it.
