Locker Wars

Any of you who've been or are members of rather busy gyms know how tough it can get to find a locker. Luckily, because I'm off work at 4:30 PM and am at the gym by 4:45 at the latest, I don't have this problem. It does, however, make leaving the gym fairly awkward.

And by awkward, I mean, don't hassle me or I'll break your face.

Last night, and this evening, I was veritably stalked and shoved away from my locker at the gym. We'll start with last night. I was getting ready to leave the gym, when a girl appeared behind me, started setting her stuff down and generally getting ready to work out. She didn't ask if I was leaving. She didn't ask if she could use the locker after me. She just...started doing other crap without one word. I had just removed my last item from the locker and was taking my key out, when she pushed me aside and started putting her stuff in. She all but moved the rest of my stuff to ground and proceeded to take over the entire bench. I stopped for a second, looked at her and said, "well that was a bit rude", and left. She gave me a weird look and kept on doing her thang.

Ohhhhhhhh how I dislike the majority of other people at the gym.

Pretty much the same thing happened tonight. Only with a different person. I understand that you need to get your stuff in the space, and that you're limited on time, and that there are a lot of people waiting for equipment, but that's no reason to be so rude. If she had said "hey are you leaving? Can I jump in that locker after you?" I would have been absolutely cool with that.

Bleh!

But on the upside, I did see Runner Boy again this evening. I like that he wears the exact same thing to the gym. LOVE THAT. And I saw him do many a pull-up today. Upper body strength is important, right? Anyway, I managed to give him a nod.

And that was it. I was hungry and wanted to go home. Maybe tomorrow I'll smile?

Dude, what a bitch! I say next time go all Karate Kid on her ass. That'll teach her to be so rude.

Yay for another Runner Boy sighting! You must definitely smile next time. And approach him and tell him you are a kick ass runner and that he should date you fo sho. :)

Oh my gawd. I would go ape shiz. I do NOT deal with that sort of thing very well. It's kind of similar to those people in checkout lines that push into you so they can get their stuff on the 2 inches of space on the back of the checkout belt. PERSONAL SPACE PEOPLE! Back up!

And the plot thickens with the man ;-) Smiling is always good and what about a hi? Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! ;-)
