I feel a little lost right now...excuse me as I stumble my way back into Blog Land. The past couple of months have been full of trips to Ecuador, auditions, insanity at work, the Annual Conference, training for races, and now my show opening.
I won't even begin to bore you with the details. Well, not all of them anyway.
I'll skip Ecuador for now, as I've got pictures on my computer at home that I'll try to include with the post. Keep your fingers crossed. It was a special experience. Special in the short bus kind of way. And it was an adventure, in the best sense of the word.
For now, let's talk about work. I just got back from California last week, and must admit that Anaheim gets a thumbs down from me. It's a terribly boring city. We kinda got screwed by the temp agency that we used for registration. The poor temps were aggressively ignorant regarding general registration, and persisted in making the same mistakes up till the end. I've been a temp, and I know it's hard especially with trade shows and conventions, but we did everything humanly possible to make it easy for them. Alas. Conference Boy was not in attendance this time, for better or worse. Team Reg still managed to have a good time...this usually consisted of us going to the liquor store, and bringing back the good stuff to the hotel pool. Too bad the hotel was not a fan of that. I also managed to get my runs in whilst onsite. I was supposed to complete a 10 mile run on Saturday, but due to the amount of work we had to do, I broke it up into a 5 mile run in the morning and then another 5 miler after work. Go me. This may be the last conference I get to go to, actually. Registration has been out sourced for the Midwinter and Annual conferences, which are the big ones. I was hoping to still be able to go to Denver in January for Midwinter, but we'll see. My colleague-in-crime Tom thinks we'll still be going.
Due to the fact that we are still in the midst of major clean up from the Annual Conference, I will end this post now. I finally have internet back up at my apartment, so I'll be able to post more later.
