Well, I finally got my first double-workout in the books. Go me! I went for a leisurely (not too leisurely...got to keep it faster than 10:00!) 32 minute run yesterday. Alas, the rain had stopped by the time I got home. However, it was still nice and cool, which seemed to scare most people off the Path.
Losers.
And then today, I was able to remove myself from my bed and get a morning run in. At a 9:17 pace no less. Epic Win? Perhaps...
I was honestly amazed that I was able to get out of bed. I went to bed early-ish, but still, 5 AM comes earlier than I can really prepare for. I can go to bed around 9 PM, but it's a waste of time for me to try and get to bed any earlier. I inevitably end up being awake still and falling asleep even later. Still, shooting for the 9 PM mark is a smart idea for those of us in the narcoleptic family. Eight hours is a necessity, and it usually ends up being a luxury.
Anywho, I just kept telling myself that I would feel so much better if I got my run in this morning. The weather is better, there are less people on the Path, and I could eat my dinner earlier and get to bed earlier. Score for me! I was correct and felt fabulous after my run. In small part, this is due to the return of one of my favourite Path regulars, Monochrome Man! His outfit today was yellow, yellow, YELLOW. Just lovely. So the run ended up being wonderful and I was really happy to have gotten it done in the AM.
Of course, it all went down hill from there, starting with work being terrible today. I knew I should have stayed home. Why didn't I just stay home?!?!
